Accessibility Statement

1. Our goal

We want everyone to be able to use YourFacelessFactory, including people who navigate with a keyboard, a screen reader, voice control or magnification, and people who need more contrast or less motion. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, which is also the technical standard behind the European Accessibility Act.

2. Where we stand

The site partially conforms with WCAG 2.1 level AA. We have worked through the whole site against that standard and fixed what we found, but we have not had it audited by an independent accessibility specialist, and we don't claim full conformance.

3. What is in place

• Keyboard. Every page and every control can be used without a mouse. A "Skip to main content" link is the first thing you reach by pressing Tab, and keyboard focus is always shown with a visible outline.
• Screen readers. Pages have proper landmarks and headings, form fields have labels, buttons and icons have names, toggles announce whether they are on or off, and dialogs trap focus and give it back when they close. Job progress, errors and other changes are announced.
• Images. Every image has a text alternative, or is marked as decoration when it only repeats nearby text. Decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology.
• Colour and contrast. Text meets a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 in both the dark and the light theme, and information is never conveyed by colour alone.
• Motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, animations are switched off. Otherwise, the home page's moving strips, carousel and animated "Make a video" button can be paused with the "Pause animations" button, and on a job's page the "Hide steps" button hides the animated step list.
• Zoom and small screens. The layout reflows down to a 320 px wide screen and works with text enlarged to 200%.

4. Known limitations

• Caption position editor. Placing captions on the video frame is a visual task. It can be operated with the arrow keys (the frame's position handle is focusable and announces its position), but it is inherently less convenient than dragging.
• The videos you generate. Videos are your own content. The service can burn captions into a video (the Captions step) but it does not write audio descriptions, and it cannot guarantee that a finished video is accessible to every viewer. Turn on Captions and Voice for the most accessible result.
• Payment pages. Checkout happens on Stripe's own hosted pages, which are covered by Stripe's accessibility work rather than ours.
• Testing so far. We tested with automated checks (axe-core) in both the dark and the light theme, by working through the pages with a keyboard, and at narrow widths and 200% zoom. We have not yet tested with real screen readers (such as NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver), so some issues may remain.

5. Report a barrier

If something on this site is hard or impossible for you to use, please tell us through the Contact page. Include the address of the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you use. We read every report and will fix real barriers as quickly as we can.
